I was so hopeful when I booked this room online. What a disappointment! Rug shampooer was still in the room when we arrived. If a parking lot is considered a courtyard, then we had a courtyard view. Shower curtain merely transferred the water from the tub to the bathroom floor so the floor was flooded. The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work. Parking is expensive and inconvenient. Outside hallway entrances were not locked. Check-in staff was very friendly, check-out staff was not. It was just not user friendly.

The star rating seems to not only have fooled me, but a close friend as well. Everything from the front desk, valet and room service staff were picked out of a farm. Manners and professionalism is not part of what makes up this hotel. As if this was not enough, basic commodities such as water were not available neither in the room NOR the lobby. Absolutely a waste of money and effort staying at this junk. Bathrooms are terrible!!! I had to move hotels first day in. Unbelievable for 2010 South Florida standards.

Ive stayed at the Bahia Mar 3 times over the past 5 years. The hotel staff is always super friendly the pool and pool bar/restaurant is very nice. The rooms could use some updating but Ive never had any mechanical issues or cleanliness issues. The location is very good. You have access to the beach the pool the water taxi and can walk to everything in downtown FLL. For the price you cant beat it.

i reserved a room w/ water view, but was disappointedwith the room i got, not only there was a roof obstructingg it , the veranda was too small you cant sit -too small for a chair , you can barely stand on the tiny veranda look out. for the amt i paid i was expecting a little better. pool and beach was nice, just walking distance. staff were friendly. food court adjacent to to the hotel was nice, not too expensive. convenient for overnite stay for cruise .

Overall hotel amenities were about what I expected for the price. The rooms were nice but needed a thorough vacuuming job around the edges of the room and behind the furniture. The front desk help was good, the gift shop offered good values, the service at the hotel restraunt was very good and the food was great! The deli attached to the hotel offered some great fresh fruit and salad options and the convenience of being able to charge to your room was welcome too. I wish the hotel recycled plastic, glass, etc...such a shame to throw so many recyclable items in the trash...left me with a guilty feeling on my vacation! The pool was nice but on the day I spent there, the pool bathrooms were horribly dirty and smelled disgusting--not good. The live music around the pool was a bonus...didn't expect that! The hotel offers a quick and safe access to the beach.
